My duties and responsibilities are to work in partnership with BME communities, DRE Community Development Workers, statutory and voluntary providers of mental health services and the criminal justice system to support the development of culturally sensitive appropriate services. I am working on the development of a multi-agency advisory group to facilitate this process. I aim to engage in mapping and reviewing current services, strategies and action plans in order to identify needs and ensure the development of new and innovatives approaches to improve information, access and experience of mental health services and the criminal justice system which will meet the need of the diverse BME communities.
