Welcome to the Website of Southern Derbyshire Voluntary Sector Mental Health Forum (SDVSMHF).

Southern Derbyshire Voluntary Sector Mental Health Forum provides a platform for voluntary agencies delivering mental health services to come together to discuss matters of common interest and to inform and influence strategic planning in mental health. The Forum feeds into the county-wide strategic planning system for mental health in Derbyshire.

The Forum meets every two months on Tuesday afternoons at various venues across Southern Derbyshire. It is open to all Member Organisations. An open agenda includes discussion on policy issues, speakers, networking and presentations from member organisations. Occasionally additional meetings are arranged to discuss or respond to urgent policy documents.

The Forum also supports the development of member organisations working in mental health through the Voluntary Sector Liaison Service.

Membership of the Forum is open to any voluntary organisation operating in the area that provides services for people experiencing, or recovering from, mental health problems. There is no membership fee.
