Representation

Southern Derbyshire Voluntary Sector Mental Health Forum coordinates the election and support of voluntary sector representatives from Southern Derbyshire that sit on multi-agency planning groups in mental health.

This work is carried out in conjunction with North Derbyshire Voluntary Action (NDVA), who elect and support representatives from the north of the county.

Role of the representatives

- To attend meetings of the group
- To represent the views of the voluntary sector, setting aside personal or organisational agendas
- To gather information from and feed information back out to other voluntary organisations through the Forum structure.

Current representatives

Staff or members represent the voluntary sector on Derbyshire and Derby City mental health strategic commissioning structures and the planning structures of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, including formal representation on the Board of Governors.
